Michele - X INTERN
I'm Michele! I'm from northern California, a city named Fresno. I have been interning with the X for about five months. So far it has been a tremendous learning experience. I am a senior this year at UCR and I am fortunate enough to have an opportunity like this to network and learn the actual operations of radio station promotions and video. I have had so much fun creating video content and media for the YouTube channel and I look forward to many more challenges. I plan to utilize my experiences and eventually work in television/film production.

Interning at the X is the coolest thing in the world for a girl born and raised in the sunny beach city of Torrance, CA. Filling my life with the music I love brings me bliss and I found it right here in the IE's Best Alternative Rock Station! I started my internship in the Summer of 2013 and I've already learned so much about the radio industry and eager to experience more. As a senior at UC Riverside, I'm determined to enjoy every second and grasp every opportunity before I graduate and enter the real world. When that day comes, you might find me on air as a radio personality, an actress on the big screen, a big time magazine editor... who knows! The possibilities seem endless to me :)

Why are you interning at the X?
The reason I intern for the X is, I like the production aspect of the radio and how the shows and commercials are put together starting from paper to ending up on being on the air.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
It's hard for me to really answer this question, because the sky's the limited out there with what someone wants to be when they grow up. Mostly just fallow your heart and enjoy something that you like doing and see where it leads you.
Joana - X INTERN
My hometown and where I grew up was San Clemente, Ca. Honestly best place grow up have the beach so close and just being able to walk to it is a beauty. Beach girl for life!
I went to UCR and majored in film. Currently trying to pursue photography. I would love to work for a fashion or on-set film photographer! That would be a dream come true I am going to continue as hard as I can to pursue that.
I'm Interning for X103.9 to gain experience in an entertainment industry. Working here will help me in my future endeavors in knowing how it works and also it is pretty cool being able to intern for a radio station that is well known in the inland empire. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have my first internship and the connections that can come from this experience :)
Richard - X Team Station Photog Major Events
Richard Rasner is a professional photographer based out of Riverside, CA, with two other photo studios in Anchorage Alaska and Beijing China (not to mention three additional studios on the way in Las Vegas, Dallas, and Tel Aviv). Besides taking all the portrait photographs of the X 103.9 DJs you see here on the website, Richard's work also shows in art galleries and museums worldwide. He tours internationally on book signing tours and gallery showings, and his team of Nakayama Studios photographers can be seen at all sorts of events around the Inland Empire, as well as national and international events and concerts.
Richard cut his teeth on live music photography as the lead staff photographer for Mojo Republik Magazine (a division of Universal Records) shooting such bands as Nine Inch Nails, Panic! At the Disco, REM, Billy Idol, Stone Temple Pilots and hundreds more. After shooting Duran Duran's “Red Carpet” tour in Las Vegas, the veteran band requested use of the images for their website stating it was some of the best shots they had ever seen in their long career. Richard loves to shoot for KCXX as much as he is available (read: in the country) and will continue to do so as long as they let him. Live music photography is a passion he likes to pursue alongside his more famous nude portrait work for a unique change of pace. See more work from Richard and his team at www.NakayamaStudios.com

I am a radio broadcast major at Mt San Antonio College in Walnut and am actively involved in both our campus radio stations. I got into broadcasting when I took an R-TV course at school and instantly fell in love. I enjoy the production side, editing and creating promos, as well as the promotions department where I have a blast going out to meet new people and talk about music. I work front desk at a hotel in Ontario and I get a kick out of interacting with the colorful guests that stay with us. I play guitar and piano and enjoy listening to alternative rock and dance music.

· Why are you interning at the X? I grew up listening to X103.9 so there is no other station in the IE that I would rather intern for! They have been serving the IE with great music and radio personalities for years and continue to maintain that same energy and reputation.
· What do you want to be when you grow up? I would love to work in the marketing and promotions department in the entertainment field. Whether it be with radio, television, or other types of new media, I would be more than happy to be working in that field.

Chaffey College-Major: Commercial Music
I work at the X because I worked hard to get it. I submitted a resume at the push of a friend telling me to. I never imagined I would have got the quick response I did. I've taken this chance and ran with it. I go to school to learn the business side of music this is the best way to study what I see and continue my education towards my degree. I'm just glad to have this opportunity and very humbled to work here with some of the coolest people I have ever met.
